Hi! Sorry I couldn't blog last week. I was in the mountains with no internet connection. Since I have not been able to blog, I will be presenting two books.

This week I will be presenting TAKE TWO and THE ONE AND ONLY IVAN.
Before I present these books, I would like to inform you that TAKE TWO is written by the same authors as the last book.

TAKE TWO

The book I read was called TAKE TWO by Jennifer Roy and Julia DeVillers.

This story is about twin girls who are in middle school. They've had twin switching fiascos and instead of detention, their punishment is school service. One twin must work under the stage for drama club, while the other twin had to tutor the school councilors 's hyperactive, eight year old boys.

My favorite part was when the meaner girl, Sydney twisted her ankle, Payton the drama twin stepped in as Glinda the good witch and Emma the smarter twin wins the mathletes competition.

I would recommend this book to anyone eight years and up and to anyone who loves to read.

THE ONE AND ONLY IVAN

The book I read was called the one and only Ivan by Katherine Applegate.

This story is about a gorilla, a dog, two elephants and one little girl who live at big top mall, exit eight. Ivan the gorilla learns to paint and draw thanks to the caretaker's daughter Julia. One day a baby elephant arrived. Her name was Ruby. After the baby elephant arrived, the older one,Stella died of old  age. So Ivan and his friend Bob, the dog, had to take care of the baby elephant.

My favorite part was when Ivan made jokes about humans and called us slimy chimps.

I would recommend this book to anyone nine years and up and to people who can handle a bit of a sad story.

Hi!  Every week from now on, I will give you updates on the books that I have read along with a sneak peek at next week's book.

Oh how rude of me! I haven't even introduced myself yet. I'm the book snob. I'm 9 years old, I'm in fourth grade and I love to read.

The book I will be reviewing this week is : DOUBLE FEATURE

Author: Julia DeVillers and Jennifer Roy

Main character/s: Emma and Payton

Likes/dislikes: I did not like when the author got too deep into the description. I liked it when the main characters did exciting things

Setting: Hollywood

Plot: The story is about twins who get cast in a shampoo commercial

Conclusion: I found this book quite interesting and would recommend it to children 8 years and up

Sneak peek: next week's book will be TAKE TWO
